A bit sore – didn’t sleep too well…
Think I might of made my friend depressed yesterday…sometime I wonder why I even bother talking about such topics. Maybe I should take a page from another friend I know…who always refuses talking about such unsavory topics.
We also completed Alien Swarm (Jacob’s campaign) on normal difficulty. We did it as two player…since our other friends usually can’t stay up and play with us. Not sure, if he would like to play on insane difficulty…we started on insane and we got brutally destroyed when we first began the game. We of course didn’t know much about the game or buttons (too lazy to read manuals or button configuration screens – we just wanted to jump in).

Nier: Made some progress but sort of been getting side-tracked. I went back and played Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection.
S.U.G.C: Played most of Sonic the Hedgehog. I stopped at labyrinth cause that used to be difficult for me. In fact I resorted to using the in-game save feature. Labyrinth isn’t so bad with no sound…I used to dread those 3 stages as a child (OMG NO AIR BUBBLES….AHHHHHH!). I went back a day later and made it to Scrap Brain zone…that zone is rather challenging.
Played a bit of Streets of Rage also. Normal difficult is challenging…especially the near the end of the game…where you fight bosses all over again (usual two at a time).
Played a few others but can’t recall the names of them…mainly just randomly playing them to see how game mechanic worked. Seems like all those games…you need to master the art of jumping. Almost every game has different gravity physics…so jumping in game A can vastly differ from jumping in game B.

Bothersome – Been having trouble sleeping…
How long has it been?
Best not to think about it, let’s just be grateful I made time today to update this.
I recently saw the Starship troopers Trilogy. Well, I had seen the first one before but that was like ten years ago. Overall, Each movie has a different take to the starship universe. It’s rather hard to judge which is better in terms of overall, so many factors and new concepts are presented in each of the movies.
I will admit, the third one left a rather bitter after taste after seeing it. Would of enjoyed it better if they left religion out of it. The second movie is hard to get into at first because it’s darker in nature and it’s a new cast but overall, movie is decent if you give it a chance. The third movie has one thing I rather liked, it had a catchy song called “It’s a good day to die.”
A couple of my friend finally convinced me to download steam. I finally caved cause I wanted to try Alien Swarm. Maybe it was all the starship trooper movies I saw, but the possibility of shooting aliens with friends was something I did not want to pass up. Both were free to download, so I only lost hard-disk space and time. The game is rather fun, a lot of enjoyment can be had with friends. Hearing them screaming and cussing is priceless.
Started drinking Japanese green tea…and no, I can’t tell the difference. One day, I’ll learn to appreciate tea.
I’m probably neglecting to mention a few other things…guess, they don’t stand out as much?

Nier: Completed the game, believe I got ending B. Had fun playing it. One good thing about this game is you don’t have to grind for money. Storyline wise, probably should play new game + to understand more of it.

I saw “The Chronicles of Riddick” a few days ago. Despite the director’s cut being more informative, I think I would rather watch the normal theater released version. Really, need to make time for this, have to wrap this up…

Tired – and it’s only the beginning of the week.
Got my hands on the “Riddick Trilogy” (Pitch Black, Dark Fury, Riddick). Managed to watch Pitch Black and Dark Fury on Saturday morning (1-5am?). Rest of my weekend was devoted to Evo2010 and World Cup. I’m neither a big follower of both but when it’s highest level of competition, it’s only proper you pay your respect. Personally I found evo2010 to be more enjoyable then the final game for world cup.

Nier: Been playing on and off…I am making progress though. So far, game is pretty enjoyable but that’s probably cause I haven’t ran into silly challenges or game mechanics.

a bit hungry – haven’t been eating properly lately…
I picked up Life (nature documentary – UK version). I sort of wanted to watched it but my friend sold me on it (spoke very highly of it). Although, I haven’t started watching it…still watching “The Universe” season 4 (space documentary).
I’ve been rather tired lately, but think that’s coming from rather poor sleep cycles. Yeah, been playing a little too passionately. I know, I probably should stop but I can’t..at least not at this stage, so close to finishing the task at hand.

Focus – Got to stay hungry (ambitious)…
Not sure if I would say I ended up catching that cold…since my infection was only in the throat. I am glad it didn’t last long. I should be careful this week though…cause I’m going to have a long weekend. I don’t want to spend those days sick…but I guess that generally goes for all my days (no one wants to be sick in bed while life passes you by).
Guess, I haven’t mentioned that I recently saw “Ninja Assassin.” Movie was different then your stereotypical Hollywood ninja movie. Like most movies, it did exaggerate a tad too much for me. At best, it’s worth renting…or least youtube some of the fight scenes. Although, youtubing the fight scenes will probably give you a wrong impression about what the movie is really about.

RoF: haven’t really made any progress…been preoccupied with another game. However, I generally don’t like writing about it. It’s not because I don’t like it or because I’m ashamed of it. It’s would take up too much time to write about it because I’m rather passionate about it.

so4: I was able to complete it yesterday morning. I stayed way past my bedtime to do it. I am glad I played this game, it was a fun experience. Do I want to continue this save file (post game extras) or should I start Resonance of Fate now? I want to fight Ethereal Queen….but it has to be on the hardest difficult…otherwise it’s meaningless. All signs say I should play RoF though, playing so4 on hardest setting (not even sure it’s unlocked) will take quite some time. Guess that fight will have to wait.

Felt I was getting a cold today so I ate a lemon. Next time I decide to eat a half a lemon, I’ll make sure I eat my meal first. Pretty sure you can guess how my meal tasted like or rather, how bland it was.
I also recently watched “2012.” I was actually tempted to write a review since it’s a rather lengthy film. Well, not a typical review, more of…how I saw the film.

So4: Been a while since I felt like this towards a particular game. I just don’t want to put it down. I also want to complete it without any outside interference (online ; skill list/crafting list/party members/etc.). I will admit, I did ponder about calling in sick to work…just to play this game. I of course put that notion to rest though, I can no longer do such things. Technically, I still could but really, do I want to become irresponsible?

Most of last night it was raining…Woke up and it’s snowing. If I didn’t know better I would of said it was just another winter day…

FF XIII – I finished it on the 19th of April. More or less went straight to final boss.
RoF – I had to delete a few demo of my hard-disk cause I apparently didn’t have enough space to install game. I suppose I should of deleted those demos a long time ago, considering I rarely ever play a demo after I complete them. Opening sequence and game introducing cinematic left me a bit puzzled. Played through all of the battle tutorials.
So4 – After doing the battle tutorial…fell in love with it. I was planning on playing through RoF first but I couldn’t put So4 down. Logged a few hours…well, maybe a double digits, but a good portion of the time I was away from the game (game time does not reflect time I’ve been playing).
SSF IV – This shouldn’t come as a surprised that I picked up this game up.

Indifferent – Woke up pretty early today…
Let’s see if I’ll remember to do laundry tomorrow instead of the usual Monday…
Seems like I finally am able to drink tea (organic green tea). The past two or so weeks been having/forcing myself to drink one cup of tea before I go to sleep . Overall, I’m starting to develop a fondness for it. Although, I’ll still stand by what I said “a poorly favored drink.” Yes, it seems rather bland to me or maybe it’s the brand of tea I bought. I suppose it could also be the fact that my usual drinks are loaded with sugar and natural/artificial flavors, exception being water of course. One thing I was surprised over was how some people brew their tea (watched a few youtube videos)…some people brew tea like a science experiment.

FF XIII – Currently working on chapter twelve…could of been further but decided I wanted to defeat Adamantoise. I ended resorting to the death method (sab/syn/sab Vanille/Sazh/Fang) mainly because I was spending a little too much time on it (have to get through Star Ocean 4 and Resonance of Fate still). Honestly, I felt a little dirty…it’s not my style to use cheap tricks to overcome difficult challenges (takes away from the feeling of accomplishment). Anyways, going back to the game.
